A Comprehensive Model for Hydraulic Analysis and Wetting Patterns Simulation under Subsurface Drip Laterals

چکیده

In the absence of suitable specialized models to simulate soil wetting patterns in subsurface drip irrigation systems considering hydraulic conditions along laterals, a new model was developed and named “comprehensive model” this study. This couples lateral characteristics with properties utilizes Hydrus-3D software as complementary section front beneath lateral. To evaluate model, three 16 mm drip-line pipes 62 m length 20, 40, 50 cm spacing emitters 2 5 L/h discharge were buried at 0.2 depth box containing clay loamy soil. Then, experiments conducted 50, 100, 150 kPa pressures, pattern geometry associated each measured 1, 2, 3, 24 h compared simulations. Moreover, values root mean square error (RMSE), absolute (MAE), refined index agreement ranged from 0.013 0.03 m, 0.002 0.004 0.886 0.927 respectively. addition, mentioned indexes first last cross-sections laterals varied between 0.001 0.011 0.035 0.814 0.942 These results proved that differences predicted dimensions are not significant comprehensive provides good estimations emitter flow rates, well realistic patterns.

numerical versus empirical models for estimating wetting patterns in subsurface drip irrigation systems

optimal use of water resources is essential to decrease cost and maximize available water resources. subsurface drip irrigation can increase irrigation and water use efficiency. this irrigation method distributes water into the soil, leaving the surface of the soil dry and decreasing evaporation. in the design of subsurface drip irrigation (sdi) systems, the dimensions of the wetted onion deter...

A Comprehensive Mathematical Model for Analysis of WR-Resolvers under Stator Short Circuit Fault

Wound-Rotor (WR) resolvers are the most widely used position sensors in applications with harsh environmental conditions. However, their performance is exposed to failure due to the high risk of short circuit (SC) fault. Although the output current of the resolver is negligible, its thin copper wires increase the probability of the short circuit fault. To avoid the propagation of the turn-to-tu...
